Rep. Edcel C. Lagman has committed P200,000.00 for genuine information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of the assailant and/or mastermind responsible for the killing of Barangay Chairman Leonardo B. Bisa of San Jose, Malilipot, Albay.

Lagman is urging concerned citizens to contribute to the reward fund.

The reliable information should be submitted to and will be validated by the Albay Police Provincial Office of the Philippine National Police (PNP) headed by Police Colonel Byron T. Tabernilla in coordination with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Albay Provincial Office.

Barangay Chairman Bisa suffered a “gunshot” wound in the head which caused him to go into coma on 06 March 2022 and resulted in his death on 09 March 2022.

Bisa was serving his second term as Barangay Chairman of San Jose, which is the biggest Barangay in Malilipot in terms of voting population.

Lagman cautioned against any premature disclosure or conclusion of a political motivation pending the PNP investigation of the tragic incident.
