THE tandem of Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for president under Partido Federal ng Pilpinas and Sara Duterte-Carpio for vice president under Lakas-CMD was forged for two major reasons.

First, to stop the ever-increasing nationwide support for Vice President Leni Robredo whose ennobling aspiration is to win the presidency for the people and vanquish the forces of Marcos and Duterte, who seek political power for ulterior and familial agenda.

Despite the camp of Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. branding as “trash”, “nuisance petition” and “cheap political gimmick” the petition to cancel his certificate of candidacy and disqualify him from running for president, Marcos, Jr. asked the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to give him more time to file a verified answer, which the COMELEC granted.

THERE is much misinformation and disinformation from both contending sides regarding the petition to deny due course or cancel the certificate of candidacy for president of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. for falsely representing his eligibility despite his final conviction for tax offenses. The petition is effectively to disqualify him.

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte is expected to sign into law the enrolled bill on the reconciled version of House Bill No. 9943 and Senate Bill No. 1373, entitled “An Act Prohibiting the Practice of Child Marriage and Imposing Penalties for Violations Thereof”.
