Labelling a serious critical comment against the President’s repeated blocking of ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal as “nonsense” is a lame rebuttal which has no sense.
Presidential chief apologist Salvador Panelo’s evasive repartee is the one which is bare nonsense.
Moreover, likening to EJK of press freedom the President’s consistent obstruction to the renewal of the franchise of the network giant for purported personal grievances is relevant as the blood of mostly poor victims continues to flow and stains this Administration’s human rights record.
EJK is being perpetuated not only in the war against illegal drugs but in the curtailment of legitimate broadcast operations and the exercise of the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression and free press which are fundamental civil and human rights.
