The support for Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan continues to mount in Bicol as seven (7) more Albay mayors are rooting for the tandem running for the country’s top posts in the 2022 elections.

The following Albay local executives signed a joint statement of support dated October 28, 2021: Mayors Armando “Dinky” Romano of Bacacay, Ann Gemma Ongjoco of Guinobatan, Wilfredo “Das” Maronilla of Libon, Lenybelle Ceriola-Santos of Malinao, Alan R. Arandia of Pio Duran, Ronald “Boy” Galicia of Rapu-Rapu, and Mayor Jaime “Ami” Villanueva of Tiwi.

The Albay mayors said that they firmly believe tandem of Robredo and Pangilinan “is truly qualified and sincerely motivated to effectively realize” the following:

"1. Uplifting the lives of Filipinos, particularly the marginalized and disadvantaged;

"2. Responding effectively and immediately to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic by protecting the people’s health and rescuing the Philippine economy;

"3. Eliminating graft and corruption and elevating official integrity and accountability;

"4. Humanizing the solution to the drug menace;

"5. Upholding human rights and the freedoms of the press and expression; and

"6. Resurrecting all the sectors of the economy, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).”
