Rep. Edcel C. Lagman announced today that the three divorce bills have been approved by the Committee on Population and Family Relations for consolidation by a technical working group led by Lagman who is the principal author of House Bill No. 100, which is the first bill on divorce filed in the 18th Congress.
"It is safe to say that a divorce bill has been approved by the panel subject to consolidation by a TWG, which will meet on 12 February 2020", Lagman said.
The other members of the TWG are Reps. Arlene Brosas, Ma. Victoria Umali, Juliet Marie Ferrer, and Ma. Lourdes Acosta-Alba.
